From the UK the load heads down to the Channel and then the length of France before it even reaches the Spanish border. Because it is a haul, the planning matters — the packing, the paperwork and the delivery access at the far end all decide whether the move lands smoothly.
The route
We cross from Dover or Folkestone and drive down through France — broadly the A26 and A10 corridors — to the Catalan border at La Jonquera for Barcelona, the Costa Brava and the eastern coast, continuing on the AP-7 for Valencia, Alicante and the Costa Blanca, or on towards the Costa Cálida. For Madrid and the centre we head inland; for Andalucía and the Costa del Sol it is the long push south. Where a sea leg suits the far south better, we will say so. Either way you get the plan in writing before anything moves.
Customs & paperwork
Spain, like the rest of the EU, needs a customs declaration and a full inventory for a household move since Brexit. Used belongings brought as your main home can usually come in under transfer-of-residence relief, and Spain typically wants an NIE and its own supporting forms. We prepare the declaration and transit documents, walk you through what to supply, and manage the frontier so the load keeps moving.
What we move, and storing before you go
Whole homes, part-loads and smaller commercial moves all travel the corridor. Furniture is dismantled and protected, fragile things packed with a labelled inventory. Spanish moves often need a pause — a sale completing here, a property being readied there — so our secure storage holds your goods until the timing lines up. If only part of the job leaves the country, our man and van can handle the UK side.

How long does a move to Spain take?
It depends on the destination, the crossing and whether the load travels dedicated or shared — the Costa del Sol is a longer run than northern Spain, and consolidation scheduling plays a part. Rather than quote a figure that might not hold, we give you a realistic window in writing once the details are known.
Do you cover the Costas as well as the cities?
Yes — Madrid and Barcelona, and the Costa del Sol, the Costa Blanca, Valencia, Alicante and the islands by arrangement. Coastal moves are among the ones we run most, and we plan the delivery access at the Spanish end as carefully as the collection in the UK.
What customs paperwork do I need for Spain?
