Of all the European routes, removals to France have the shortest crossing and the widest spread of destinations. From the UK it is down to the Channel and across in a single drive — a great many French moves are on the Continent within hours of leaving. The route
We load in the UK and make for the M25, then the M20 or M2 to Dover for the ferry to Calais, or Folkestone for the Eurotunnel shuttle. On the French side the autoroute network fans out fast: the A1 and A16 for Paris and the north, the A13 for Normandy, the A10 down the Atlantic side towards Bordeaux and the Dordogne, and the A6–A7 "Autoroute du Soleil" for Lyon, Provence and the Mediterranean. Northern moves are quick; the deep south is a proper haul, planned accordingly.
Customs & paperwork after Brexit
A move to France now needs a customs declaration and a full inventory of what you are bringing. If you are transferring your main residence, used household goods you have owned for a while can usually come in under transfer-of-residence relief, provided the paperwork is right. We prepare the declaration, the inventory and the transit documents, tell you what to sign and supply, and manage the border so your goods are not left waiting at Calais.
What we move
Whole-home contents, part-loads, and smaller commercial moves — a studio’s kit, an office, a workshop. Furniture is dismantled and protected, fragile items are packed properly with a labelled inventory, and anything awkward is handled by people used to it. If your dates do not line up at either end, our secure storage bridges the gap before the load runs.
